Live Online Piano Lessons

Live online piano lessons are also an option.

Some pupils have online lessons every week while others occasionally choose to go online if it's more convenient for them that week.

  • I can still teach you all the elements you need to become a pianist: hand position, posture, how to read the music, timing, interpretation and so much more.

  • Exam preparation is also available, either as a traditional face to face exam with ABRSM or LCM or in the comfort of your own home with an online music exam such as offered by MTB.  All examination boards offered are validated by OFQUAL and have equal merit.

You will need

  • A piano, digital piano  or keyboard with touch sensitive weighted keys and ideally full size at 88 keys

  • A reliable internet connection

  • A device that supports WhatsApp, Facetime or Zoom, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

  • Headphones/earphones with a mic are useful but not essential.  I’ve found that wired headphones give a better sound unless you have very high quality wireless ones.  The earphones that come with your phone will be fine.

  • Be prepared for additional expenditure in purchasing books and examination fees, if applicable

And finally just a note on safeguarding:

I am DBS checked.  No information of users is shared without permission.  Any users media accounts should be through parents accounts or permission agreed that individual accounts can be used for lessons if under 18.  Students need to be suitably dressed for lessons and a parent or guardian should be in the same premises as the student whilst the lesson takes place.
